CHOCOLATE CAKE

CHOCOLATE CAKE 😋
Ingredients:
250g butter at room temperature
300g sugar
6 eggs
A few drops of vanilla essence
50g pure cocoa powder
200g strong flour
50g cornstarch
80g chopped chocolate chips or 75% cocoa chocolate
One envelope of Royal yeast
150 g of peeled walnuts
Ingredients for the coverage:
100 g of 75% cocoa chocolate
100 gr of fondant chocolate for desserts
A few drops of peppermint or peppermint essence
50 gr of butter
100 ml of cream 35% fat
Preparation:
1. In a bowl we will sift the flour together with the yeast, cornstarch and cocoa.  Reserve

2. 4. Preheat the oven to 170º and let the cake bake for 45 minutes. Check that it is ready by inserting a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, our cake will be ready.
5. Remove from the oven and let it cool before unmolding. Once cold, unmold and let it cool completely before coating it with the chocolate coating.
6. In a saucepan over very low heat, we will add the chocolate pieces, the butter and the cream, with a few drops of peppermint, we will let it heat until it melts and we will stir constantly until we get our coverage.
7. We will bathe the cake and let it cool so that it solidifies.  Cool and serve.
