Wild stallion saves young man from drowning caught on camera

It’s a touching moment: a wild stallion saves an inexperienced foal from drowning while crossing a river. The remarkable incident took place in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona and was captured on camera by a park service volunteer named Becky Standridge. The wild horse showed us that even animals can be compassionate and

selfless.

A wild stallion named Champand his family were enjoying a meal on the banks of the Salt River when another group of horses appeared on the opposite bank. Among the other group were two playful young horses. Champ and some horses became interested in them, so they decided to cross the river to greet them.

However, the river current was too strong for the young filly. Within seconds, she found herself being

swallowed up by the fast-moving river and floated to the surface in panic. Luckily, Champ was able to save her. He tried to grab her by the neck, holding her gently and protecting her until she reached the bank on the other side of the river and headed straight towards her mother. Champ then returned to his family and the herd continued on its way.
