Our health is the most important thing we need to take care of. In the age of fast food, ther is a prevalence of eating more processed foods or junk foods. The United States is one of the most obese countries in the world and it is mainly because their diets are prone to include foods that are not healthy. However, some countries are more obese than the United States. In fact, the top five countries in the world where the prevalence of obesity is highest are located in the Pacific Islands. It comes as no surprise that the two least obese continents in the world are Africa and Asia. The lack of available food in Africa is one reason why. And when it comes to Asia, diets in those countries tend to be much healthier.

Kuwait is the most obese country on this list. There are several reasons as to why that is. It is said that people in Kuwait love fast food. Kuwait has a high-income economy which means that fast food is readily available in the country. The introduction of American fast food has made matters worse. The obesity rate has affected the health of Kuwaitis, which means that this has also put a burden on the public health system of the country. Kuwaitis have more of a prevalence of suffering from asthma and kidney diseases because of their obesity problem.

Obesity made headline news in 2023 for Jordan. It was reported that the obesity rate in the country was quite high. Jordan ranks fourth in the Middle East when it comes to obesity among men. a total of 29.17% of the male population is obese and Jordan. The Obesity rates for women are lower, which is a very good thing. The reasons why Jordan’s obesity rate is so high is because there is a lack of public parks in the country, as well as the sedentary lifestyle that Jordanians lead.

An alarmingly high percentage of Saudi Arabia’s adult population is obese. That is a huge problem that Saudis have long wanted to fix. The Saudi government has enacted programs that encourage people to eat healthier, for example switching a popular food in Saudi Arabia called kabsa for a healthier alternative like kale. The Saudi government has also started construction on the 83-mile Sports Boulevard that has foot, bicycle, and horse-riding paths. In the meantime, some organizations have created initiatives to get people to walk in malls.
