Where is Grand Teton?

Grand Teton is in Grand Teton National Park, which sits in the state of Wyoming. Yellowstone National Park is to the immediate north.

Grand Teton is close to Wyoming’s border with Idaho. The Snake River, Jackson Lake, and Jenny Lake are the area’s most noted bodies of water. Also, there are countless smaller lakes in and around the peak, left over from the intense, recent, and prolonged geological slam-dancing.

Flora and Fauna

For the birder, there are over 300 species. The critter that drew the early fur trappers here, the beaver, has also rebounded in population.

The mountain reaches the alpine zone, with at least nine different coniferous tree types. Glacier lilies, with their unique bowing design, can also be found in Grand Teton. But be careful. They are a preferred snack for bears.
