By joining a group or association, such as the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) or Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) the therapist is voluntarily signing themselves up to be regulated, as members have to show that they meet standards set out by the association.
