Hawaiian King Cheese Cake 🍍🧀🥐
Ingredients:
For the Danish:
- 1 package Hawaiian King Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)
- 225 g (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 100 g (½ cup) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
For the Topping:
- 60 g (½ cup) powdered sugar
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fresh sliced strawberries
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions:
Prepare the Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Hawaiian King Sweet Rolls in half horizontally, keeping the bottom half together as a single layer. Place the bottom layer on a greased baking dish.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
Add the Top Layer:
Place the top layer of rolls over the cheesecake filling.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Prepare the Topping:
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the baked Danish.
Garnish and Serve:
Top with sliced strawberries and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Serve warm or at room temperature.
