Herbs you Can Grow With Just Water all Year Round

Growing herbs with just water is known as hydroponics or water culture. Many herbs can be easily grown yearround using this method. Here are some herbs that you can grow with just water all year round
Basil Basil is one of the easiest herbs to grow hydroponically. Place cuttings with a few inches of stem in a container of water and it will quickly develop roots.
Mint Mint is another herb that thrives in water. It can grow vigorously so its a good idea to keep it in a separate container to prevent it from overtaking other herbs.

Oregano You can grow oregano in water by taking stem cuttings and placing them in a jar or vase filled with water.
Sage Sage can be propagated in water just like basil and oregano. Simply place cuttings in water until roots form.
Thyme Thyme is wellsuited for hydroponics. Take cuttings remove lower leaves and place them in water until they root.
Rosemary Rosemary can be a bit trickier but it is possible to root stem cuttings in water before transplanting to soil once the roots develop.

To grow these herbs hydroponically make sure to change the water regularly to avoid stagnation and provide the herbs with sufficient sunlight or artificial grow lights. Once the roots are established you can transfer the herbs to a
hydroponic system or you can continue growing them in water alone by periodically refreshing the water supply.
